Aldara Cream is a treatment for viral infections that are causing genital and perianal warts. Unlike any other treats it helps fight the virus, not just only get rid of the warts.

How Taken

Aldara usage is pretty simple. It need to be rubbed in warts and left during sleep time, after that it need to be washed off. Aldara need to be used exactly as prescribed. It is projected ot be used for skin only and not near the eyes, lips or nostrils. It is used for several skin conditions. When using Aldara for a longer time or more often than prescribed it may cause severe skin reaction. Aldara is to be used once a day for three days a week as a cure for warts. It should be left on the skin for six to ten hours. For actinic keratosis Aldara need to be used once a day for two days a week and left on the skin for eight hours. Treatment should last full sixteen weeks before any of these conditions is fully cured, unless directed otherwise by your doctor. Area to which Aldara is used should be no larger than approximately two inches.

Warnings/Precautions

Aldara may cause severe skin irritation or flu-like symptoms, when experiencing those you should consult with your doctor. While the medicine is on your skin you should avoid all types of sex. This medicine contains certain oils that may damage latex used in condoms or other contraceptives, rapidly increasing the chances to get pregnant. Other skin products shouldn't be used on the same skin area unless told so by your doctor. This medicine shouldn't be shared with others, even if they happen to have the same condition as you. If you are pregnant consult your doctor about this medicine.

Missed Dose

Missed dose should be applied as soon as you remember and regular schedule should be continued.

Possible Side Effects

Side effect us using Aldara are mostly related to skin changes such as redness, swelling, a sore, blister, or ulcer, skin that becomes hard or thickened, skin peeling, scabbing and crusting, itching, burning, changes in skin color that do not always go away.

Storage

Aldara should be stored in the container it came in, away from the reach of children, in temperatures below 25°C (77°F). After expiration date Aldara should be thrown away.

Overdose

Overdose of Aldara can result in increased incidence of severe local skin reactions.
