Colchicine is a medication for treating arthritis.
How Taken
Colchicine need to be used one tablet every hour until pain is relieved or until overdose symptoms begin to occur. Colchicine may be used every day for several days to prevent attack of arthritis. Each table need to be taken with full glass of water. Colchicine need to be taken exactly as doctor prescribed.
Warnings/Precautions
You should notify your doctor about pregnancy or breast feeding, because it may have harmful effects on the unborn baby.
Missed Dose
When missed a dose take it as soon as you remember, unless it's near time for next dose. It's not recommended to double dose to catch up with the schedule.
Possible Side Effects
Colchicine may cause allergic reaction as side effect of the treatment. Additionally it may cause numbness or tingling.
Storage
Colchicine need to be stored at room temperature in a dry and dark place away from the reach of children.
Overdose
Colchicine overdose may cause symptoms as specified: nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, muscle weakness, burning in your throat, stomach, or skin, difficulty breathing, delirium and seizures. Serious overdose may result in death. When suspecting overdose seek immediate medical attention.
