Esgic Plus is a painkiller and mild relaxant. It is used to treat headaches.

How Taken

This medicine should be taken exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Basically for adults recommended dose is one or two capsules every four hours if needed. If your medicine contains more than 300 milligrams (mg) of acetaminophen then daily dose shouldn't cross over six tablets a day.

Warnings/Precautions

If effects of this medicine weakens then it may mean that you are in danger of becoming dependent on this medication. You shouldn't try to cure your headaches by increasing the dose. If headaches occur more often or are greater in strength or start to occur every day or one day after last dose of the medicine then it may mean that you became addicted to the medicine and you should consult your doctor about pain relieving.

Missed Dose

Missed dose may be taken as soon as you remember about it, however if it's about time for next dose then you should not double up the dose to catch up with the schedule.

Possible Side Effects

If you happen to experience bleeding of lips, chest pains, fevers, chills, swellings, muscle cramps or pains, red, thickened or scaly skin, mild confusion, or any similar symptoms then you should check with your doctor immediately.

Storage

Esgic plus should be kept in dry place out of the reach of children, away from heat and direct light. Heat and moisture can cause this medicine to stop working.

Overdose

Emergency medical attention is needed when suspecting overdose. Overdosing of this medicine or mixing it with alcohol or antidepressants may cause unconsciousness or death.

As Esgic plus may cause dizziness and drowsiness then driving and operating heavy machinery should be avoided or performed with caution.
