Drug Uses
Motrin Tablets is a medicament for relief in moderate arthritis pains. It may also be prescribed for help in treatment of primary dysmenorrhea.
How Taken
Motrin tablets can be taken with meals or milk, exactly as prescribed, but not more than daily dose of 3200 mg
Warnings/Precautions
If you have nasal polyps syndrome, hypersensitivity to this drug, angioedema and bronchospastic reactivity to aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents you shouldn't take Motrin. Bleeding, ulceration, perforation and other serious gastrointestinal toxicity may occur occasionally with or without warning symptoms.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered, until it's near time for next dose. If so, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double-up dose to catch up.
Possible Side Effects
Motrin typical side effects are gastrointestinal, but there may also occur blurred and/or diminished vision, scotomata, and/or changes in color vision.
Storage
Motrin should be stored at controlled room temperature 20° to 25°C (68° to 77°F).
Overdose
In case of overdosing empty your stomach by vomiting and seek emergency medical help.
More Information
If you experience symptoms of gastrointestinal ulceration or bleeding, blurred vision or other eye symptoms, skin rash, weight gain, or edema during therapy you should notify your doctor.
