Drug Uses
Nizoral is a treatment for systemic fungal infections, or other conditions as determined by your doctor. Nizoral is not intended for use as a treatment for fungal meningitis.
How Taken
Nizoral should be used once daily until the infection is healed. If the infection is serious you may require increased dosage.
Warnings/Precautions
If you develop any symptoms of liver dysfunction, such as unusual fatigue, anorexia, nausea and/or vomiting, jaundice, dark urine or pale stools you should notify your doctor. Taking Nizoral may seriously alter your metabolism.
Missed Dose
Missed dose should be taken as soon as remembered, unless it's about time for next dose. If so next scheduled dose should be taken, and doses shouldn't be doubled to catch up.
Possible Side Effects
If you happen to experience following side effects, such as fever and chills, skin rash or itching, dark or amber urine, fever and sore throat, loss of appetite, pale stools, reddening you should stop taking this medicine and consult your doctor.
Storage
Nizoral should be stored at room temperature of 15-25°C (59-77°F) in a dry place.
Overdose
If you experience constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, nausea or vomiting you should seek emergency medical attention, as you may have overdosed Nizoral.
More Information
If symptoms of your infection doesn't improve or become worse in a few weeks during treatment you should consult your doctor.
