Drug Uses

Propecia is a medicament for treatment of male hair loss on the top and middle front of the head. This medicament is intended for use by men only, and shouldn't be used by women or children.

How Taken

Propecia tablet is usually taken once daily with or without food. T is meant to be taken exactly as prescribed. You shouldn't stop using Propecia without consultation with your doctor.

Warnings/Precautions

If you have some liver disease you should notify your doctor about it. Propecia is for male usage only. Women should not use this medicament. Propecia is FDA category X. Pregnant women shouldn't handle crushed or broken Propecia tablets, since it can easily be adsorbed by the skin. Propecia is known to cause birth defects to an unborn baby. Exposure to whole tablets should be avoided, whenever possible, however exposure to whole tablets is not expected to be harmful as long as the tablet isn't swallowed.

Missed Dose

Missed dose may be taken as soon as you remember about it, however if it's about time for next dose then you should not double up the dose to catch up with the schedule.

Possible Side Effects

If you happen to experience allergic reaction to Propecia you should stop taking it and seek emergency medical attention. You eventually may encounter less serious side effects, which should pass with continued treatment. Those effects include decreased sex drive, decreased volume of ejaculate, impotence or breast tenderness or enlargement. Other side effects may also occur. If they are unusual or especially bothersome you should tell your doctor about them.

Storage

Propecia need to be stored tightly closed, away from moisture at temperatures between 15°C and 30°C (59 - 86°F).

Overdose

Although symptoms of Propecia overdose are unknown emergency medical attention is needed when suspecting overdose.
