Drug Uses
Protopic is a treatment for diagnosed eczema.
How Taken
Thin layer of Protopic need to be applied to all areas of skin diagnosed as eczema. You should cover entire affected areas.
Warnings/Precautions
If you are working outdoors you should wear some protective clothing, to protect affected areas from the sunlight. Sun lamps and sources of UVA and UVB light should also be avoided. You should ask your doctor about sun protection you may use.
Missed Dose
Protopic need to be applied as soon as remembered.
Possible Side Effects
Side effects of using Protopic are rather mild, and may include stinging, soreness, a burning feeling, or itching of the skin treated with this medication. These effects are most common during first few days of the treatment, and typically weaken and go away as the skin heals.
Storage
Protopic should be stored at temperatures between 15 and 30°C (59 to 86°F). You should not leave Protopic on a hot or cold weather. Cap on the tube need to be tightly closed, and the medication should be kept away from the reach of children.
Overdose
If you suspect overdose you should seek medical help, however overdose of Protopic is highly unlikely.
