Drug Uses
Ranitidine HCL is an medicament for active ulcer treatment or maintenance therapy.
How Taken
Ranitidine HCL 150 mg tablets should be taken two times a day or 300 mg tablets once a day, depending on how is most convenient for you. Ranitidine HCL is best used before bedtime. Each dose is to be taken with full glass of water.
Warnings/Precautions
Ranitidine HCL is secreted in human milk, therefore you should consult with your doctor if you are breast feeding. Do not stop taking ranitidine without first talking to your doctor.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose you should take it as soon as it is possible. If it's time for your next scheduled dose you should skip the missing one. Do not double up a dose.
Possible Side Effects
Ranitidine HCT may cause the following side effects: constipation, diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, abdominal discomfort/pain, headache.
Storage
Ranitidine HCL need to be stored in a dry, dark place, out of the reach of children, at controlled room temperature 15°-30°C (59°-86°F).
Overdose
Emergency medical attention is needed when overdose occurs, because of need to remove unabsorbed material from your gastrointestinal tract.
