Drug Uses
Seasonale is a pregnancy prevention medicament. It however doesn't protect against transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases such as chlamydia, genital herpes, genital warts, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, and syphilis.
How Taken
Seasonale should be taken on a daily basis, even if experiencing spotting or bleeding or feeling sick in stomach. It should be also used on a daily basis even if you don't have sex very often.
Warnings/Precautions
As some of this drug is passed into breast milk, you should consult your doctor if you are breast feeding.
Missed Dose
If you miss a daily dose you may get pregnant, this include starting the pack late. Try not to exceed 24 hour period between pills.
Possible Side Effects
This medication may cause higher blood pressure, and eventually a spotty darkening of the skin, especially on a face. Less serious side effects you may encounter while using Seasonale include nausea and vomiting, change in appetite, breast tenderness, headache, nervousness, depression, dizziness, loss of scalp hair, rash, vaginal infections, and allergic reactions.
Storage
Seasonale should be kept away from children, in a temperatures not exceeding 20-25° C (68-77°F).
Overdose
Overdosing of Seasonale may cause nausea and withdrawal bleeding. In such cases you should consult your doctor.
More Information
Before prescribing Seasonale your doctor need to know about your medical history and perform an examination. Reexamination should be performed at least once a year.
